443 919 439 C - US warning chime relay 290(ding ding ding)

Hello everyone,
recently I purchased an american light, door, radio warning chime that goes "ding.... ding... ding" and not BZZZZZZZZZ like the european one.
The code is 443 919 439 C , with 290 written on the relay as well.
Of course the relay doesn't work when installed in the previous relay(buzzer) position, because the pins are located elsewhere, so I've started checking the pin numbers and bringing the wires from other relay sockets that have the corresponding pin numbers, but I can't get the relay to work as it should...
So far I got it to work properly from the doors - when the lights or the radio are on , if the door gets closed the relay stops making sound , so that is everything correct. But the ignition key is where I have a problem. Normally it should make a sound with the lights on and door opened until the key is turned, but it works the opposite - if I turn the key(or press the keyhole) , it starts making sound. Even if I manage to make it not working when the key is turned slightly, it starts making sound with the ignition on.
Anyhow, I remember the "buzzer" works differently , or maybe the US warning chime relay works totally different?

Please tell me if anybody knows how to connect it properly or has some nice wiring diagrams to see which pin goes where exactly!

OK, so I've checked this video thoroughly:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVTSallgTzI
From 5:20 one can hear the relay making the ding sound.
At 6:30 one can see that all the time it was making the sound , the ignition was on. So maybe this US relay really works in a different way?

So far from that I remember, the old buzzer relay works like this:
Door open, lights on(or radio), key NOT IN - works
Door open, lights on(or radio), key IN(not ignition) - stops working
Door open, lights on(or radio), key IN(Ignition) - still doesn't work

How should this US warning chime relay work? Does anyone know? Please please help me, because it's getting frustrating :?

Hi,
if I remember correctly it was like that:
IGN ON: no gong at all.
IGN OFF, key not yet removed but door open: Gong.
IGN OFF and key removed, radio, or lights ON: Gong.

What about ignition on (or engine running) , lights on(or off) and door open?

What I'm interested in is... does that US relay work under different conditions than the euro buzzer relay?

The only difference I remember is that it is on if the IGN is off and the key is not removed. Might be more differences...

Oops of course the door has to be open in that case!

Are there any conditions that it would start making sound with ignition on/working engine?

I think only for the auto transmission vehicles.
When the door is open and gear lever is not in park. IMHO Engine running or not makes no difference in that case.

I'm so confused... I talked to some more people, some say that yes, it does make a sound with ignition on/engine running and doors opened, but waiting for a confirmation :-)

Hi this sheet describes the functions pretty good:
Relais-Warngong.tif
1. Function 1 - Seatbelt warning (1st priority)

a) Driver has no seatbelt on. Ignition on: Gong (ding ding) and warning light (Fastenbelts) for 6 sec on.
b) Driver has seatbelt on. Ignition on: Warning light for 6 sec on.

2. Function 2 - Key warning (3rd priority)

Key is in Ignition lock, door opened. --> Gong is on permanent.

3. Function 3 - Light warning (2nd priority)

parking light on, door opened --> buzzing noise on permanent

4. Function 4 - Radio warning (2nd priority)

Radio on, door opened --> buzzing noise on permanent

I hope this helps you.

Greetings

Steve

Thank you very much for the information and I'm sorry to whose who are not so happy that I asked something that has been discussed before... It's not so easy in a German forum with almost no german language knowledge...

Anyhow, these functions seem to match how the relay works in my car, except for the seatbelts , of course, because there are no seatbelt sensors in european cars and except that it always does the dinging sound, no buzzer anymore, so all in all it works fine, I like it so much better than that stupid buzzer :D
