I really need your help , all NFL drivers who have an exterior temperature display in their instrument clusters.

My car has a climate control , so it also has a temperature sensor in front - that means I can check the temperature on climate control. But I wanted to install a separate temperature display in the instrument cluster - original from V8. I checked , my car already had a needed yellow connection to connect the temperature display to the electrical system. It lit up , but didn't have the temperature signal. So what I did , was I took a wire and connected it to a temperature sensor wire going to climate control connector. Everything seemed to be working fine on idle , when the car was standing - temperature was almost exactly the same in both the temperature display and climate control. But then I started driving and the temperature started dropping down - it felt like there was no speed signal coming to the display. But what is worse is that now both the temperature display and the climate control were acting the same way - the faster I drive , the lower the temperature gets. Then I disconnected the temperature display and went for another test drive - everything was fine , climate control showed the correct temperature and it was not changing at any speed - working like it should. I had an idea , that if there was no temperature signal coming to the temperature display connection , than maybe there was no speed signal too. So I connected additional speed signal wires from where I was absolutely sure , that it will be OK , but unfortunately it still was the same.

So my questions would be - why is this happening? Maybe the outside temperature display on the instrument cluster just doesn't go along with the climate control? Were there ANY original Audi 100/200 produced that had both of them working? Is the only solution for them to work is to connect them both separately, from separate temperature sensors?
Is it possible that it could be a faulty exterior temperature display?
