As I know, the instruments with the red needle are used with the Audi 200.

After the facelift (in 1988) the instruments are nearly the same between 100 and 200, but before facelift, they are not similar and not replaceable each other.
One point is the speedometer shaft/cable. The 100 has a mechanical one, but the 200 is electrical.

It could work, if you also replace the speed sensor at the gearbox.
But I think, the other electrical connectors must be custom fitted.

Hi Martin!

You can find some of these old Audi 200 Tachos in the german ebay.
Just type "Audi 200 Tacho*" and you'll get some offers.
You'll also find white tables (type "Tachoscheiben") and "Chromringe" / "Tachoringe".
Most of the sellers offer shipping to european countries but check this out first!

I don't know whether the red needles fit on the old instruments, and maybe you'll get wrong values on your speedo / rev counter, because of different needle weight.
Beside getting a Audi 200 Tacho with red needles, I would try to get another Audi 100 Tacho with white needles so that you can test the red needles on it without destroying your original Tacho. If your creation doesn't work you can re-replace it through the original Tacho.
Having destroyed the original and not having replacement would be bad I guess  .

Greetings from Germany,

Markus
